WASHINGTON—The rumour that David Jacobson, a Chicago lawyer and fundraiser for Barack Obama, Illinois Senator Richard Durbin and other Democratic luminaries, might be the next U.S. ambassador to Canada emerged in the Washington Post on April 17.
