Iraq's dreams of building fancy new digs for its ambassador to Canada were unceremoniously shot down on March 28, when Ottawa's city council determined that heritage considerations trumped aesthetic concerns, thus saving the current residence from being flattened. And it appears the Iraqi Embassy will comply.
