Canada Dance Festival
To close this year's Canada Dance Festival, a troupe comprising four Mexican and four Canadian aboriginal dancers will perform a piece called Dancing Americas, using the metaphor of the Monarch butterfly that summers in Canada and winters in the montane forests of Mexico. The musical accompaniment by renowned Mexican composer Antonio Zepeda draws its inspiration from the pre-Hispanic folk tradition of Mexico's indigenous peoples.
