Israeli Diplomat Returns to Working with Arab Media

Seven years ago on Sept. 28, Ariel Sharon, the then hawkish soon-to-be prime minister of Israel, paid a visit to the Temple Mount in Old Jerusalem. Because the Temple Mount is located close to the al-Asqa Mosque, in an area hotly contested by Muslims and Jews alike, the visit was seen by Palestinians and Muslims the world over as a provocative gesture.
