Indian, Algerian envoys heading home

Egyptian counsellor, Chinese deputy also set to depart.

After just shy of two years on the job, India’s Nirmal Verma wrapped up his posting in Canada and headed home on Nov. 20. The high commissioner, a retired admiral in India’s navy who served for 42 years, had pivoted fairly quickly from his retirement from the navy in August 2012 to the Ottawa diplomatic circuit after presenting his credentials in December of that year. According to the high commission, Mr. Verma is going home to enjoy his retirement.
