With the first real days of winter sweeping through Canada's capital, there seems to be a determined effort not to complain about the cold. "Ah finally," we imply with brave but frozen smiles. And if pressed we can supply some reasons: The canal may freeze in time for Winterlude skating, or those southern bugs eating up our spruce and pine trees may get frozen out of the bush.
