I finally read an informed opinion on the Paris Riots, by Gwynne Dyer, who in my opinion captured the essence of the conflict not only in France, but indeed elsewhere (Re: "Neither a Paris Intifada, Nor U.S.-Style Race Riots" Embassy Nov. 9). I may add, that terrorists are not born, they are made. Some of the key ingredients to making terrorism are poverty, injustice, and political and intellectual violence against the less advantaged. We should launch a war on poverty, injustice, and white-collar violence against the weak. Only then we will have a better chance to live in a happier world! In the meantime, a level of madness on all sides seems to overtake wisdom! M. Zommo Ottawa, ON.
