Sudan Envoy Responds to Kilgour

Published: Wednesday, 05/10/2006 12:00 am EDT

The first lesson to be taught to the students of Logic is that false premises lead to false conclusions. That means one should not take any conclusions for granted without verifying the truth of the basic propositions themselves. If we apply this rule to David Kilgour's analysis (Re: "Bringing an End to the Nightmare in Darfur" May 3), we will find Mr. Kilgour, in order to reach his main objective (i.e. the intervention by force into Darfur region), has based his arguments on false premises.
