What Does It Really Mean to Lose?

Published: Wednesday, 11/22/2006 12:00 am EST

I am amazed by Gwynne Dyer's inability to formulate a strong argument, and, more importantly, his ability to construct incredibly broad–almost naïve–sweeping generalizations (Re: "What It Means to Lose" Nov. 15). His arguments, when identified, are incoherent ramblings that fail to muster any support for the subject at hand. Mr. Dyer, what does it mean to lose, or shall I assume that the question you have proposed is simply an exercise in rhetoric?
