All parties to blame for blood-sport

(RE: "Jason Kenney vs. the Catholic bishops," Jan. 12) I'm not going to argue about the central point of the column that Jason Kenney responded unfairly to a request by the Catholic bishops to discuss the new refugee bill. Perhaps he did. Perhaps he didn't. But I do want to take issue with the rather large historical context into which you place your point regarding the incivility of political discourse.
