'New wave' of nationalizations not the story

When Bolivian President Evo Morales signed an agreement with Ayllu indigenous authorities on July 10 to revoke the mining concessions of South American Silver in Potosí, several Canadian media outlets including concluded that this is the latest in a wave of nationalizations in Latin American mining sectors (RE: "Canadian mining firms confront new wave of Latin American nationalization," July 25).
