For three months now, a new one-hour radio show targeting Ottawa's black community has been on air on the muti-cultural station CHIN FM. The way presenters Denise Siele and Fred Sherman see it, they want the show to celebrate the uniqueness of those things that connect black people from Africa, North America and the Caribbean. That's why the show is called Nexus Africa. It airs on Saturday mornings from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on 97.9 FM.
