More Nets and Better Drugs are Good News, but Fighting Malaria is Still a Long-Term Battle

By all accounts, the Canadian International Development Agency's funding to fight malaria in Africa seems like a success story. Kamini Mendis, physician and co-ordinator of the World Heath Organization's malaria program, will tell you so. So will Mark Grabowsky, the physician currently in charge of the malaria program at the Geneva-based Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria.
