At the world AIDS conference, a growing chorus calls for more money and leadership

Days before this month's 15th International AIDS Conference in Bangkok, the United Nations published a grim, yet not unexpected, report confirming the number of people worldwide suffering from HIV/AIDS has reached a new high. The 2004 summary showed an increase in both the rate of new infections and the number of people who have died.
