The Head of Poland's Senate would like to see a more dynamic trading relationship

Reciprocating a visit made last year to Poland by Dan Hays, the Speaker of Canada's Senate, Polish Senate President Longin Pastusiak is in Canada this week at the head of a major delegation which stopped in Ottawa on Oct.18 and 19 for talks with government and business leaders. Accompanied by four senators, the chief of the Polish chancellery and two Polish foreign service directors, as well as a group of Polish journalists and 30 Polish businessmen, Mr. Pastusiak will travel to Toronto and Calgary before flying home on Oct. 23. He outlined the three core objectives of his visit in an interview following a reception at the Polish embassy on Oct. 18.
