Drumming, prayer, and dance accompanied the official launch March 30 of a new website,, at the National Library and Archives of Canada. Co-produced by the Aboriginal Healing Foundation and the Legacy Of Hope Foundation, along with the Library and Archives of Canada and Donna Cona, the digital resource aims to be a step towards creating better understanding and awareness of the catastrophic effects the residential school system had on First Nations, Métis, and Inuit children over more than a century, from the 1830s until 1996.
