Archbishop Ncube floats the idea of a peaceful revolution

Zimbabwe's crusading Archbishop Pius Ncube is not ready to don his vestments today and lead a non-violent march to the streets in opposition to the regime of President Mugabe, he told Embassy this week. But he is giving it serious thought. "If for a long time all means are used to bring about peace -- and if it doesn't work -- the church does agree that it is necessary to take action," he says. "But it must be peaceful."
