The diplomatic landscape in this hemisphere is still feeling the aftershocks of the Summit of the Americas. Mexico and Venezuela have withdrawn their ambassadors and although both countries declared the issue a closed chapter, their differences are far from resolved. But was the Summit all that divisive? How can we objectively assess the Mar del Plata gathering beyond the high-sounding rhetoric and dramatic posturing?
