With a Strategic Counsel poll earlier this week giving the federal Conservatives an eight-point lead advantage over the Liberals, the possibility that Tory Leader Stephen Harper could become Canada's 22nd prime minister was top of mind for observers of the Canadian political scene in Ontario where the Conservatives would have to win more seats to form the next government.
