New UN Human Rights Council Not Going Well

A top State Department official briefed Canadian experts on the UN, saying the human rights council is 'sad,' and that the U.S. needs multilateral partners.

A top U.S. State Department official visiting Ottawa last week called into question the results of the United Nations' extensive efforts to reshape its human rights council and hinted that Canadian officials are just as concerned.
