Access to Medicine Regime Under Review

Industry Canada is set to report on the old Jean Chrétien Pledge for Africa bill, which has been criticized as being too complicated for governments to use.

The government is in the midst of reviewing the Access to Medicine Regime to determine whether it is the Canadian legislation or other factors that have prevented a single generic pill from being distributed for HIV/AIDS or tuberculosis treatment.
