Peru Proposes 'Pacific Arc'

Peru's president wants to create a trade group of likeminded Latin American nations bordering the Pacific, and thinks Canada could boost the bloc's global standing.

Peruvian President Alan Garcia has proposed the formation of a so-called "Pacific Arc" involving Canada and a number of Latin American countries with the goal of improving economic and political relations between all members.
