There was not, beyond Afghanistan, much debate on foreign policy in this fall's federal campaign. That Afghanistan was debated makes sense as it is our single largest military and foreign aid commitment worldwide. Also, the paternity of that mission is Liberal, and its continuation the result of Conservative and Liberal co-operation.
