Canada courts Mercosur again

An exchange of high-level visits shows exploratory talks are increasing. But can they overcome their agriculture war of attrition?

Canada is again looking at establishing a free trade agreement with the South American trade bloc of Mercosur. But with no change in Canadian agricultural policy and Mercosur involved in several other trade talks, many obstacles remain.
