Libya’s new man in Ottawa is former regime envoy

Rebel associate says nomination part of strategy to go to seasoned diplomats.

The Libyan rebels decided to nominate a former regime envoy to head up the new Libyan embassy in Canada as part of a larger strategy of bringing on board qualified diplomats to run vacated missions, a rebel associate said.
