Trade talks expected to finish this year despite delays: EU official

Canada can't meet EU rules of origin level for cars; EU lowered standards for 2009 Korea deal.

Canadian and European officials talked openly last week about what has delayed Canada-Europe trade talks, and what is left to do before negotiations finish. Despite the holdups, an EU official said that talks are still expected to wrap up this year.
