EU official reassures municipalities over trade deal

Local firms will still have a leg up over European competition as they know local conditions, says outgoing trade section head.

A European Union official is offering some parting reassurances to municipal leaders like Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi who say they’re nervous about an EU trade deal threatening local procurement.
