Clear sailing now, but AG points to shipbuilding risks ahead

Budget constraints could lead to tradeoffs, report indicates.

Early warning system: Auditor General Michael Ferguson released a sweeping report on Nov. 26. He said the government needs to tighten border controls as criminals could be sneaking into the country despite stricter security. He gave the government’s shipbuilding program an initial pass, but warned that tight budgets could mean not getting what the Navy and Coast Guard need.
