Jean makes Francophonie bid official, says she has support in Africa

Up to 10 member states in West and Central Africa back her, she says.

Former governor general Michaëlle Jean has officially entered the race to lead the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie with an established base of supporters in Africa, she said in a phone interview.
