On a day marred by tragedy, EU politicians praise revised CETA

European trade committee chair happy about progress but concerned Canada hasn’t ratified labour convention.

Trade was on the agenda but the tragic bombings at the main airport and a subway in Brussels, killing at least 30 people, were not far from anyone’s mind. The two European politicians began a Parliament Hill press conference with a moment of silence for the victims of Tuesday’s bombing attacks.
