Election Result Leaves Zimbabwe Opposition Bewildered

When Zimbabwe's opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) announced at the end of January that it was suspending a boycott in order to participate in general elections scheduled for last Thursday, the party's leader, Morgan Tsvangirai, said his party would participate with a heavy heart, and under protest.
