The world marks Universal Children’s Day on Nov. 20, in recognition of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. The convention acknowledges that children need special care and protection to ensure their rights are fulfilled. Where society is in chaos, there may be no mechanisms to ensure that this happens.
