Trade security beyond the US? China may be the only answer

While recent relations have been rocky, China seems the steadiest boat to become Canada’s next great trading partner.

In recent years, public-policy and economic analysts, among others, have been urging Canada to lessen its reliance on the United States as its primary trading partner. Of course, when Canada exports $337 billion more to the US than the next closest country (China), as it did in 2013, there’s bound to be some concern.
