Canada continues to fail Indigenous women and girls

Canada acknowledges that more must be done, yet at the same time, refuses to make any new commitments.

An expert committee of the United Nations recently released a strongly worded report concluding that Canada’s “protracted failure” to address the high levels of violence facing Indigenous women and girls amounts to nothing less than a “grave human rights violation.”
