Last month's devastating earthquake in Nepal brought a wave of death and destruction. Over 7,000 people have been killed, even more injured, hundreds are still missing and tens of thousands are living in tents, braving terrible rains. At their greatest time of need, the people of Nepal and thousands of tourists found small comfort in the rescue and relief efforts of just a handful of foreign militaries including the Canadian Armed Forces and Israeli Defence Forces.
