As economic activity increases in Canada’s North, so does the need to protect its most ecologically sensitive areas, like Lancaster Sound.
The area around Iqaluit, Nunavut on the south coast of Baffin Island. Around the north end is Lancaster Sound.

Off the northern coast of Baffin Island, at the eastern entrance to the Northwest Passage, lies one of the most biologically diverse areas in the world. It’s an incredible and unique ecosystem, and we are blessed to have it in Canada.
