The newly-elected Liberal government has vowed that they will grapple with defence issues head on. Procurement issues are, of course, one of them. Cost overruns and delays are not abnormal in defence procurement, but the ambitious, multi-decade National Shipbuilding Procurement Strategy is already veering off course.
