Age a bottle of wine for years—even decades—and if you’re lucky, it will mature into an elegant, polished and sophisticated wine. This seems a fitting analogy to describe Canada’s head of state, Queen Elizabeth, who as of Sept. 9 is the longest-reigning monarch in British history.
