Amey Trades Credits

Former energy industry executive Allan Amey has been named president of the Canada Emission Reduction Incentives Agency. The institution buys surplus carbon credits from green projects and sells them to large industrial emitters so they can meet their Kyoto commitments. Mr. Amey helped establish Climate Change Central led by Alberta Premier Ralph Klein, which partners with the private sector, academics and the public to promote industry responses to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
