Child Health Report

While the health and survival of the world's children has shown great progress in the last 50 years, child mortality rates have actually increased in 14 countries, mostly due to HIV/AIDS, says a new report from UNICEF Canada. On the bright side, the global effort to fight polio is strong, with only four countries from 125 in 1988 that have yet to stop the spread of the virus within their borders.
