The launch of UNICEF Canada's report on child health in Toronto was attended by International Cooperation Minister Josée Verner, who announced the development agency will give the UN's children's fund $4.6 million to promote the health of children in Africa. Of that, $19 million will go to front-line health services in local communities, and $1 million to inform Canadian teachers on issues affecting children in the developing world.
