Water, Water Everywhere...

The Manitoba government and environmentalists are unhappy with a U.S. plan to divert water from Missouri River (which normally flows south) north into Lake Winnipeg in the hopes of preventing a severe drought in North Dakota, which is expected within 50 years. Critics warn the plan will harm the environment, and that it's up to the International Joint Commission to settle such cross-border water disputes.
