Fighting Border ID Plan

Officials at the Conference of New England Governors and Eastern Canadian Premiers have urged U.S. Congress to delay implementing a law set for 2008 that will require passports and high-tech ID cards in order to cross the border. The premiers and governors feel the rules would harm trade and would create a bureaucratic nightmare.
