Searching for an Apology

A La Francophonie meeting in Winnipeg was clouded by allegations that the group's Secretary General, Abdou Diouf, was body-searched at Toronto's Pearson Airport. While Prime Minister Stephen Harper has not apologized, as demanded by Senegalese Foreign Minister Cheikh Tidiane Gadio, Francophonie Minister Josée Verner and Foreign Minister Peter MacKay have publicly expressed regret for the incident.
