Work Together to Prepare for Disaster

Speaking at a conference on disaster management, federal Health Minister Tony Clement said governments need to work together to protect their citizens from security and health issues. "We need to collaborate with the world community to ensure a co-ordinated and effective global response and to make sure this planning can accommodate many scenarios and is adaptable to the unknown threats we could face," Mr. Clement said. "As unpredictable and brutal as they are, terrorist attacks are only one element of the changing threat environment."
