Costa Rican Family Wants to Stay

A Costa Rican family is expected to be returned home Friday unless their deportation order is stayed. The Lizano-Sossa family has been in Canada since 2001. The family applied for refugee status, claiming they would face harm from drug dealers in Costa Rica. Canadian Immigration officials attempted to deport the family last February, but they successfully fought to stay until the end of June so the children could finish school.
