Money for Military

Yesterday Defence Minister Gordon O'Connor unveiled a plan to purchase 2,300 medium sized trucks, with a price tag of $1.2 billion, for the Canadian Forces. This was the second in a weeklong series of spending announcements for the military, which began Monday with $2.9 billion for three new Canadian-built supply ships. Mr. O'Connor is expected to announce $4.6 billion for new planes and helicopters today.
