Mugabe Motion Adopted

A private member's motion seeking to indict Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe and 51 of his cronies on crimes against humanity charges was unanimously adopted by the parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee last week. Liberal MP and Foreign Affairs Critic Keith Martin tabled the motion, which seeks to prosecute Mr. Mugabe in Canadian courts. Last month, the motion failed to garner unanimous consent from MPs.
