Spying in Canada

Global competition is driving many foreign countries to maintain spies in Canada, according to a report for 2004-2005 issued last week by the Canadian Security and Intelligence Service. The report does not single out particular nations, but says "both traditionally hostile and friendly governments" are involved in economic espionage into Canada's scientific and technological development in the natural resource sector.
