Safety Concerns in DR

Last week Canada's ambassador to the Dominican Republic Alvin Curling expressed his concerns over the safety of not only Canadian visitors to the Caribbean nation, but also for everyone “residing in the national territory.” Media reports say Mr. Curling said that if the Dominican government asked Canada to send technical assistance to the Dominican National Police, Canada would be open to the suggestion.
